New Album (17th August 1998)
The latest news direct from EMI Records is that Louise won't be releasing any more singles from the Woman In Me album.
However news of a new album is that Louise will be starting work on it soon, they also stated that the new album "will hopefully see the light of day towards the end of this year". (Source: EMI Records)
Madame Tussauds - Louise Wax Model Unveiling (July 1998)
Louise went to the unveiling of her waxwork model at Madame Tussauds; and afterwards said that she had had a good start to her married life,
after having had a quiet wedding. The reason for this was not to deny fans the pictures and news and so forth, but that |
because Jamie and herself had put a lot of planning in to the whole thing and wanted to make it really special.
She said that at the moment the most important thing for her is the new album, which she is working on constantly at the moment,
and of course she is striving to make it the best yet - no surprise there of course. She said she really admired the way the Spice Girls
were juggling kids and work, and said that she wanted to have children at some stage, although definitely not in the immediate forseeable future.
Louise today unveiled a wax-work dummy of herself. She's had a real
quiet year musically and took time out to get hitched to Liverpool's
Jamie Redknapp in June. But know she's back
in the studio writing a new album which /will/ be out next year.
And she's impressed with her double.
"Yeah, I think from some angles it's absolutely amazing. It's always
freaky though when you look at yourself, you know, it's like that in
pictures. I mean, it's so clever how they do it, at first they take
pictures and then put you on a board and kind of - spin you round and
stick stickers, and they measure everything, I'm talking like your
earlobe, and your eye to your earlobe, and your nose to your cheek and
everything. It's amazing how they do it."
Despite having no plans to sing in a group again, Louise says she's
desperate to duet with someone.
"Every time I work I'm like 'Who can I do a duet with, who can I
approach?' and I just don't know who to ask. You know, who would be
right for me? I don't mind whether it's male or female, I just want
somebody that would be really kind of, up for doing a good duet. So
erm, if anyone's got any ideas, who they think! (laughs)"

Pop star Louise and her footballer fiancée Jamie Redknapp are to marry on a luxury yauht today (29th June 1998), it is reported.
The couple will exchange vows in front of members of their families and friends aboard a cruiser in Bermuda, the island's daily newspaper says.
Louise, 23, voted the 'World's Sexiest Woman', has dated Jamie for 2 years.
Last night friends joined her for a hen night at a local club, the paper said.

Louise To Replace Geri Spice - Rumour or Fact!? (May 1998)
Reports are flying around that report that Louise had contacted the Spice Girls Management after Geri Left them to see whether she could join them. They have been said to have
declined the offer stating that they are happy as a "foursome".
EMI Records and her Management are keeping quiet about this, but Louise denied these rumours at the Radio 1 Roadshow Concert in Weymouth that she was attending, reassuring her fans that she wants to remain a solo star - and that she won't be joing the Spice Girls. She stated, "I really enjoy what the girls do, but I enjoy being a solo star".

Friends (15th May 1998)
Louise says she's "gutted" that she can't take a cameo role in the American sitcom 'Friends'.
Produces asked her to appear in the one-hour special, currently being filmed in the UK, but she was already booked to appear on BBC's 'Top of The Pops'
The BBC's music show apparently bent over backwards to let her do the cameo, but it seems the clash was to difficult to sort out!! (Source: BBC Radio One - "The Net")
However from another source, it has been confirmed that Louise is to star in an episode of Friends to be filmed in Central Park for the next series.
She is going to play an English Diva who has revamped the Smelly Cat ditty - where it has been a euro pop hit incidentally, and Loiuse is to star in the episode where she duets with the creator of the tune - Phoebe. Wow. There are some rumours that she may even have a fling with Joey - but these rumours have been strongly denied as Joey is a big hit with the US female audience.
Filming is expected later in the year and should go on screen in the Spring in the US. The actual storyline is hush hush but TV Week have done it again. (Source: New York TV Week)
Rock Circus (20th April 1998)
Louise is getting her whole body waxed. The singer, who's up for a Brit, is the latest pop star to be honoured with a wax-work statue, at London's Rock Circus. This week she's been having the photos done so the waxing team can get all the bits in the right place. The statue will be unveiled in July. (Source: BBC2 The Ozone)
Official Website (4th March 1998)
At long last the "Official" Louise website has been released on the Internet!! I do not feel that there is a big threat to the many other "Unofficial" sites as it doesn't offer anything "sensational", also it took almost 3 years to get an official one set-up and released - a long wait!! The site has full discography, lyrics, the latest news and will be running exclusive competitions, it also offers exclusive downloads, including screensavers and other applications!!
So check it out at: http://www.louise.uk.com
