The "Question And Answer" Session:

Are you nervous about your forthcoming tour?
Yeah, I am nervous and I'm constantly asking myself if I'll be able to get through it, but once it's underway I'm sure I'll be fine. I keep having to remind myself that this is my job, this is what I do. I'm always nervous before I go on stage, but once I've done the first song I'm okay. As long as I can hear myself thropugh the mike and know everything's working all right then I start to relax and really enjoy myself. There's always the fear that I'll get out there, not hear the music and start and miss my intro.

What would you do in that situation?
If I couldn't hear myself or the music, I'd have to give the soundman a signal, but I would have thought I'd actually take time out, leave the stage and sort it out. I'd like to think I'd keep together and stay calm, but in reality, if that happened, I'd be churning up inside and would probably run off stage crying.

What's been the most embarrasing on-stage moment?
I was with Eternal and I dropped my mike and watched, horrified, as it began to roll off the stage. Easther carried on singing and all the time my microphone was rolling into the audience and picking up dreadful sounds. I just had to carry on dancing while the audience looked for it. In the end I had to jump down to retrieve it. I was so embarrased.

What about an off-stage embarrassing moment?
That has got to be when my face came up on the TV screen during the FA Cup Final at Wembley. The cameraman decided to do some close-ups of the people that were in the enclosure I was in and there I was screaming and waving my arms about. That was bad enough in itself, but then when I got home, I had all my family and freinds ringing me up saying 'Lou, you've just been on telly, and you were picking your nose!' Everybody was in on it and for three days I was so paranoid - even my mum told me I was picking my nose and you believe your mum don't you?

Why are so many girlies into football nowadays?
I think girls have always liked football, but it's just now it's been acceptable for girls who are mad for football. When you got to matches now, you always see a few girls walking round in little dresses and all done up. It's no longer a man's sport.

So, how did Jamie Rednapp propose to you?
It may not sound romantic, but it was me. We'd been talking about getting engaged for a couple of weeks and then he just asked me. He didn't get down on one knee or anything - he didn't make a big deal out of it - we will once we've set a wedding date through. I couldn't be happier - whenever I'm with Jamie I've got a smile on my face - he makes me laugh - he's got a wicked sense of humour and it's also quite handy that he's so gorgeous! He really is the man of my dreams.

How do you feel when you're in love?
Very happy. I love the idea of being in love and when it comes along it feels even better. I think sometimes in the past I've tried to fall in love because I liked the idea of being in love.

Is sex better when you're in love?
Oh defeinitely. If I'm in love with the person then the sex would be fantastic. It's the best sex in the world - there's nothing like it. I don't know how I'd feel if I wasn't in love with that person - it's not something I normally do!

What do you look for in a man?
Something that makes me laugh. I could never go out with anyone that I'm not good mates with first - there has to be a friendship there before I date anyone. I think you know within the first few weeks of knowing someone if you're going to be good friends or not. All my past boyfriends have been very good friends.

Do you feel restricted in your personal life with the media on your back all the time?
I do sometimes feel a bit of pressure because things can be taken very differntly to how they actually are and I worry about that. But I've reached the stage where I realise that there's nothing I can do about it and I've got to get on with my life. I just hope that it doesn't all turn up in the papers next morning!

I felt incredibly sorry for people like Princess Diana - it must have been awful for her to be followed and photographed wherever she went. I mean, what was all that rubbish about having lumpy legs?! Touch wood, I've never really had any trouble with the press.

Do you find it hard to trust new people?
A lot of people in the business say they do, but I try really hard not to be cynical. I'm sure there are people out there who are only interested in being your friend because of who you are, but I find that once people get to know me, they realise that I'm a pretty normal person and there are not really any major perks in being my friend. So hopefully, if they're not true friends then they'll disappear. I'm doing okay through - I've still got a lot of friends from school who I keep in touch with.

If you could date any famous man, who would it be?
I can honestly say that there's no-one I'm really into. I suppose Brad Pitt's okay-looking, but I don't know him and he could walk in here and look totally gross - you just don't know?

If you had to do one of the following, which would it be?
a) A Bungee Jump
b) A Centerfold Spread
c) Snog Robbie From Eastenders?

Awwww, that's wicked! Poor Robbie! I think I'd rather snog Well'ard! No, Seriously, it'd have to be a bungee jump. No offense to Robbie, but I've always fancied having a go at bungee jumping. I'd be absolutely terrified, but I'd definitely do it.

What talent would you like to have had?
I would love to be able to play the piano naturally. I can play a tiny bit but I'd love to be one of those people that can just sit down at the piano and go for it. They only have to hear something once and they away - without any lessons or anything - just using their natural ear. I've had a piano and guitar lessons, but me and the guitar just didn't get along at all!

Are you happy and settled now as a solo artist or are there still times when you miss the Eternal girls?
I think it's nice to have the independence to do things that really suit me as an individual person and not just my career. The lifestyle I have now is much better because I can do what I want to do and I'm not under so much pressure to do things I really don't want to do. In the most cases, though, I still have to do them, but I can just make them more adaptable to me. But on the flip side, I do still miss the girls and wheras before there were four pairs of shoulders to carry everything, now there's only mine and that's difficult to cope with sometimes.
